Choices
Throughout history, the “Christ of God” has made choices:
- He chose to create the world;
- He chose to recreate the world by fulfilling what was written by the Prophet Zechariah;
- He chose to do it for all --- Jew or Greek…. slave or free…. male or female;
- He chose Peter to be our first Pope;
- He chose Francis to be our 266th Pope;
- And the “Christ of God” chose you ------ TWICE!
First…..He chose you to BE.
Second….He chose you to KNOW Him.
So……what are you doing with that fantastic mission?
You have been chosen by the Almighty God to know Jesus for one reason:
- To WITNESS to faith…and hope…and love…before an unbelieving world in a post-Christian era….(that’s right ---- I said a post-Christian era!)
To WITNESS to faith…and hope…and love…before an unbelieving world is what it means to “pick up your cross and follow” Him.
Just as it was for the “Christ of God”….the cross is something you CHOOSE…..it is not some problem that is thrust upon you.
And it doesn’t matter if the world knows you….or no one knows you.
Even if you influence only one person in your whole life --- God does not look on numbers or quantities.
If you were able --- by your example or by one of your acts --- to bring one person to heaven --- it would mean more to Him than all the accomplishments on earth!
Like the Apostles….we Catholics should be out changing the world…..witnessing to our faith.
But we let filth proliferate….. and the darkness from the Evil One move in.
Who do you think is going to change the world?
Me? Fr. Mark? Cardinal Wuerl? The Pope?
What are YOU waiting for ??????
YOU are that somebody !!!!!
The Christ of God has no one else but YOU !!!
You had better get off your lead bottoms and go out there and change this pagan world J
Is it going to be hard?
It sure is !!!!!!
“The Son of Man” had to “suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed.”
But God has willed that each of us give ….until there is nothing else to give….like His Only Begotten Son did.
You see, all of creation….all the world….all mankind….benefits or loses out because of you.
You have got to understand what it means to love as Jesus loved.
The Christ of God has created you with a fire…a spirit…to inflame others like no one else can.
So you can no longer sit waiting for something to happen.
You make it happen.
You’re the only one God has!
The Christ of God chose you!
