Religious Education
Our religious education ministry provides opportunities for both children and adults. Our goals are:
- To invite everyone to an enriching and ever-deepening relationship with Jesus Christ.
- To form disciples by passing on the content of our Catholic faith.
- To prepare disciples to proclaim the Gospel wherever they go and to equip them to participate in the work of the Church.
Our religious education program is divided into:
- Children's religious education (what many call "CCD"): for 1st through 8th grade children. Our program, covering 30 instructional days, begins in September each year. Children are prepared for their First Penance and First Eucharist in the 2nd grade. Teens are prepared for Confirmation in their 8th grade year.
- Adult faith formation: We provide classes on Sunday mornings between September and May. We also provide multiple-week classes on weeknights in the fall, winter and spring.
